Product description
This is the official team jacket for the Norwegian Alpine national team in the 2023/24 season. Snønipa is a lightweight and sporty wool jacket with Norwegian flag stripes on the sleeves and the pattern from our iconic Cortina 1956 sweater. The jacket is made of 100% soft merino wool and has a zipper and high neck.
The story behind it
The jacket derives its name from the mountain Snønipa (1827 meters above sea level). Snønipa is a nunatak, meaning a mountain peak sticking up through a glacier, in this case the Myklebust glacier in Vestland county. In other words, Snønipa is surrounded by snow all year round, hence the name.
